One of the items at the top of the President Elect's to do list after his Inauguration, is 'repeal & replace' ObamaCare.  So far we don't have any specifics about what this really will mean to Americans, but this article has stated what we have been anticipating all along - according to Deborah Kelch of the

Now that we know who our next President will be, the question I keep getting asked is: “What is going to happen to my health insurance?” My answer - In the short term, nothing.  In the long run…. Well, we’re not exactly sure. Here is what we know about President Elect Trump's plan: During his

One major problem we are having this enrollment period is dealing with Medi-Cal.  We are finding that with some of the clients we have enrolled, Medi-Cal is going into the files and changing the application without checking with clients or us, their agent.Usually they lower the income so the client becomes Medi-Cal eligible.  This has

Individuals & Families have until February 15 to enroll in a health plan for 2015.  After that deadline, one must have a qualifying event to be eligible for a new health insurance policy. The penalty for 2015 is pretty steep (unlike 2014).  If you choose to go without insurance for 2015, you will incur a federal income tax penalty of either 2%

It is finally here.  We are three weeks into open enrollment.  The Affordable Care Act has definitely seen its detractors but it has survived up to this point.  No matter what happens in Washington D.C., the exchange in California is here to stay (that is, at least for 2014).  So after 3 weeks what have we learned?

We are just about a week away from Open Enrollment and there has been a lot of talk about "defunding Obamacare".  I am not sure this is possible.  California's state exchange, Covered California is ready for open enrollment.  I recently went to Covered California's "certification training" so I can sell plans on the exchange.  I
